Ahhhh, Sleep!

I don't think enough can be said for a good night's sleep. If gives your cells a chance to detoxify, your organs a chance to recharge and your heart a chance to actually rest. Your mind processes and gets smarter. Mentally you are more alert, productive, focused, energized and happier. The list of positives goes on and on.
However, a huge amount of people do not get the sleep they need consistently. Some people have trouble sleeping. They have trouble falling asleep, trouble staying asleep or wake up too early and can't go back to sleep. There are people with sleep apnea and snoring. Others, simply stay up too late, and/or wake up too early.
Sleep deprivation is one of those doubly toxic issues. It causes you all kinds of physical and mental health problems. In addition, lack of sleep causes problems for those around you. Imagine a family where one person is chronically sleep deprived. That person is not really focused much of the time. They are moody, irritable and exhausted. It even could look like depression.
Speak to your doctor if you find you have trouble sleeping. She may prescribe short term sleep medication or refer you to a specialist. Don't give up until you are sleeping enough.
So, where is sleep in your nontoxic life?
